Much of the science was completely over my head. His days on the island, hardship interaction with its people, tradition, mystical being, were the frame of what he brought to the readers. Makes me look at rocks totally different. With doctorates in anthropology and ethology animal behavior and additional degrees in botany, chemistry, geology, geography, marine biology, and ecology, Lyall Watson logically investigated illogical events.

Biologist and paranormal seeker Lyall Watson is storm thrown and laps up on a name-changed Indonesian island in the early 70s.
Nevertheless, he’s a wonderful writer who has related a fantastic tale. There could be no better metaphor for an understanding of the mechanics of the cosmos.
