I have an outside company reviewing the problems conveert I’m willing to bet that the cost will cause much wailing and gnashing of teeth mf10 the corridors of power. As I recall matters those files were originally created with a based machine and the more modern processor didn’t want to know.
Probably should convrrt asked more questions before I hired in here 4 months ago. Somehow, somebody will simply have to enact a solution that doesn’t cost anything upfront that generates a PO. This is what I use to extract dxf files from the Me10 drawings they send. In one respect I would like to have tried the solution you posted just to see what could be done with the thousands of files the company relied upon. I’m attempting to pursue a solution because a problem that doesn’t directly affect corporate seems to have less of a priority, it’s been 4 weeks already. Many companies have thousands of files in ME drawing format. The AutoCAD dwg files are compressed, put onto the customer’s requested media, and cataloged.
We’ve already been in touch with PTC and they haven’t offered much help other than suggest a ot edit in Creo that doesn’t work. If your hardware is old, loading each drawing and saving it as an MI file could take several minutes per drawing. Getting a complete and accurate translation – Since ME has some unique features that may not exist on the target CAD system, the translator needs mee10 be fairly sophisticated to rebuild some data items in a useful way.
