I was looking at the PRR’s thread suggesting using a 48V supply and I can’t find data sheets for the 2SK’s so can any of xatasheet suggested fets run this high? But I will be using the devices in hopefully an instrumentation based amp for line level buffering. Fred if I may be so bold – I have been looking at your schematic and was wondering how different the s are that I have?
And J for switching? Not that the makes a poor line level device Additionally, the monolithic dual construction of the LSJ and LSK provides better solutions for obtaining tighter Idss drain-source saturation current matching and improved thermal tracking than matching individual JFETs. I’m guessing its a lot. I’m bummed that Toshiba has discontinued these and not offered a replacement. Ddatasheet will try to get a load of s before there all gone I’ll check them out. Should be able to get really low noise and offset with these. I’m not asking for you to share any precious circuit diagrams, just curious what other features you have added? However, I still use the K in critical locations.
When used together, the LSJ and LSK are ideal for differential input stages for amplifier, phono, and preamplifier designs. It seems to me that all the good audio parts are being discontinued – don’t you find it worrying that you may not be able to build your in the near distant future? I can’t afford three per channel so I thought I could have a go at designing the input buffer part myself. I’m going to compare specs from the datasheets Thanks for the tip Charlie!
